7 Days (you think up the name!)
Several, actually lots and lots of ideas around at funny times of the day. Here's one of them and before I start, I don't like the workout-chum thing, well the name. Not one of my better ones for sure. Even I can criticize myself!
OK. I think, there has to be an even easier way to shop. I'm talking groceries here. I know you can order on line for food deliveries and there are also great veg box schemes such as Riverford Farm Box. Say I want to cook something different and healthy. I look up any number of cookery books, then write down the list of ingredients, find my way to a supermarket (a crime I know, but too easy) and hunt round for all of these ingredients. To be honest, me, being me, by the time I get home, I will have bought at least several items not on my list (due to getting sidelined by the bloody offers on at the end of each isle, or due to the clever ways the supermarket can attract you to stuff you didn't really want),I might find, even despite the list, i have forgotten one of the ingredients.
How about a small supermarket that is designed for the weeks menu.' 7 Day's. So you have Monday and Monday section has an island all of it's own. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, all together.
Am I explaining this OK? The whole idea based on a healthy balanced diet of proper ingredients that allow us to cook from scratch, just the right herbs, veg, meats, creams whatever are all right there, for the whole week. Bit of a dumb shop maybe, but making life more simple?
One step further, maybe these shops could operate on basis of your weekly budget for food per person. Even amounts on Monday of how much to get for how many people. I'm making this up as I go along here. Thinking out loud.
Advantages? A healthy balanced diet, keep to your budget, learn to cook proper food and experiment with new stuff.Bit dictator type life? Perhaps. Way of the future? Maybe!
