I'm off on holiday for 10 whole days. I haven't had a holiday that long away for 2 years. Wow! So, today has seen me doing the usual running around before I go, fitting in a visit for a pedicure. The parking warden in Dartmouth seems to have quite an affinity with my car and bugger did I get a ticket for just being 20 minutes over time. Oh well, my fault, but always a bit harsh!
A visit to Gazebo shop in Totnes found me my Cosy Cruise blankets. They are fleecy, lovely colours and most of all cosy, cosy!
When you hit on a great idea, it is only natural the competition keeps an ear to the ground, or perhaps my blog and sure enough, Christmas cruises with 'free' soup is being offered in my trading vicinity by another! I have true confidence that it won't be quite the same or as special as The Picnic Boat Cosy Cruises.
While I'm away, the heater is being fitted, the boat coming out of the water for anti fouling a new cover being tailor made. I'm very excited. I feel an interior change about to happen to the boat. Bit of an update. Kath Kidson meets nautical kind of feel perhaps.
Millie believe it or not is staying with my ex husband. We seem to be able to hold a conversation now OK. Maybe time is healing. Certainly not forgetting, but at least allowing a chat now and then.
I met last night with my 'best worst friends' husband for the first time in over a year. We sat and drank tea, walked on the beach and talked and talked.I think it was good to see him. Yes, it was. I still cannot bring myself to forgive her. We said goodbye and I grabbed 2 bottles of Moet from my car for The Picnic Boat, took then up to my best friend's house up the road. I guess it brought up huge emotions for me, talking about that horrible time again. Why the champagne? Why the extravagance? Almost a relief like celebration, that I'm OK, I'm doing fine, I'm surviving.
Still, it left for a touch of a sore head this morning.
Tomorrow, I head to my brothers in Surrey. The Rugby World Cup is on and I have my travelling buddy Al and her South African hubby coming round to watch the game. My 3 nephews will be beside themselves with excitement. The next day we are flying to Florida for 10 days at Disneyland and staying in the 5 star Animal Kingdom Safari Lodge Hotel.
This is when the sister, Auntie, Norland Nanny ting kicks into touch and I'm going to have a wonderful time with my 3 beautiful nephews in a complete Disney Magical world of delight! Bliss.
