Ok, I'm whacked. A 7 day straight running with B & B and boat. Shattered more like, but fantastic, I'm taking a day off and am driving down to Cornwall with Millie to buy the wetsuit and the Boogie board and surprise my mate Liz for her 40th birthday.
AND! Use my tent for the first time. Fairly sorted this end with enquiries and emails, clearing up etc, so think I can leave with a clear head.
Already with the thought of completely getting away is leaving space in my mind (sounds a bit wierd I know) to think up plans for the business and whats next, what needs doing and so on.
I've met so many great people on board this week and very memorable was a couple dealing with her brain tumour pronounced terminal. We had the biggest hug when she said goodbye and how I didn't cry my eyes out I don't know. A lovely, lovely lady. I was glad they got to enjoy the river together. Life is a bitch and it seems to me that all the good people seem to be the unlucky ones.
My Auntie was diagnosed with breast cancer this week too, and she is the only immeadiate relative left on Dad's side of the family. So next week, I 'm going to fly up to Scotland and take her into hospital. She lives on her own. She's decided to have the breast off at 70ish, I suppose thats right. Bloody, bloody cancer.
Even more reason for us all to get out there and make the most of what we've got hey.
